Join Ability West and make a difference supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families.  Our aim is to deliver the best person-centred care for the people we support.  We operate a total of 60 centres across Galway City and County.  These services are provided across a range of Day Care, Residential and Respite facilities. We currently employ over 600 people.

Board of Trustees

We’re looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees!

This is an excitng opportunity to bring your life and business experience to the board, as we guide the Executive team to provide excellent services to the people we support. Previous board experience is not required as there is a full induc􀆟on process, and you will be assigned a trustee “buddy” to guide you into the role and provide every assistance you may need. We’re seeking applicants with experience in any of the following areas:

  • Legal

  • Governance and Compliance

  • Housing

  • Human Resources

  • Fundraising

  • Intellectual Disability Services
