Service Users from Criost Linn ADS meet Minister Finian McGrath at Launch of “Our Lived Experiences of Housing and Transport”

On Monday January 23rd Service Users from Criost Linn Adult Day Services (ADS) and the Service Users Council attended The National Platform of Self Advocates Launch of “Our Lived Experiences of Housing and Transport” held in Dublin. This was a report on the research findings of the National Platform of Self Advocates and Centre for Disability Law, NUI Galway. This was delivered by Mr Finian McGrath T.D. and Minister of State at the Departments of Social Protection , Justice and Equality and Health with special responsibility for Disability Issues. Mary Joyce who is a member of the Service Users council with Ability West was thrilled with the opportunity to speak where she highlighted issues such as no public transport no housing system where she lives. Finian Mc Grath replied he would look into these issues.
